“It smells awful. We do not know what is going on. Help us". Tbilisi Energy hotline was called with an excited voice from Didi Dighomi.
The rapid reaction team immediately went to the scene. The strong gas smell could be felt even without the equipment. Here is what happened as a result of the inspection- The closed apartment of one of the buildings on Ioane Petritsi Street was cleaned by a cleaner. No one knows how and in what way, but the stove taps are left open and the house closed.Gas was leaking in the closed apartment throughout the evening.
Tbilisi Energy Rapid Response Team 114 blocked the gas and eliminated the danger, but if not for the attention and great responsibility of the neighbors, this story would most likely have ended very badly due to the irresponsibility of the cleaner.
The building survived the explosion. Be careful, attentive and show more responsibility. Each person’s wrongdoing can cost people their lives. Thanks to the citizens who informed us about the danger in a timely manner on the hotline.
Call 114 at any time of the day or night when you smell gas
