The population of Georgia and utilities paying companies, including “Tbilisi Energy” has become the target of well-organized Internet criminals. The criminal group was expecting to embezzle tens of millions with a single attack. "Tbilisi Energy" sent warning text messages to the population shortly after the fraudulent scheme was launched. Here we would like to inform you that there was no cyber attack on the companys bases and it is unclear how the cyber criminals got hold of the subscribers data. At this stage, the investigation is ongoing and the company is actively cooperating with the relevant services. Despite the decryption of the scheme, the danger still exists, therefore "Tbilisi Energy" warns you - be careful when paying utility bills and use only official payment systems.
