The cases of damage of natural gas pipes by private companies or individuals during construction and earthworks have become more frequent recently, especially in Digomi, which is especially difficult for the population during the winter and as well as for us, as it causes great loss to our company.
Another similar case happened today, when a private person let the water into a gas pipe during incorrect installation, which immediately became the cause of the emergency cut off of the gas. Natural gas was cut off to 1350 subscribers living on Mirian King Street and nearby.
Everyone who carries out repair, construction works, please be especially careful with the communication networks, so as not to damage them and leave the population without gas supply, this is categorically inadmissible.
We understand that Digomi is a construction site where the construction process is constantly underway, but any arbitrary and carelessly carried out earth works endanger the gas distribution pipes owned by Tbilisi Energy.
Similar cases have been observed several times in the last two weeks when private companies and individuals damaged pipes or let water into a gas pipe. “Tbilisi Energy” groups are mobilized on the spot and gas supply will be fully restored in a few hours.
